Dr. Lane Simonin (she/her), BVetMed
Lane is a Staff Veterinarian at Small Door. A Manhattan native, she is excited to be returning to New York City to join Small Door. Lane graduated from Morrisville State College with an AS in Equine Science before attending Clarkson University to earn a BS in Biology. After completing her undergraduate studies, she moved to London, England to pursue a veterinary degree at The Royal Veterinary College.After completing her veterinary degree, Lane returned to the States, joining a large 24-hour emergency and general practice hospital in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. During her time in Pennsylvania, Lane gained valuable experience in ultrasound, emergency and critical care, and the management of complex medical cases.
While she enjoys all aspects of general practice, Lane has particular interests in preventative care, surgery, and diagnostic imaging; with special interest in brachycephalic medical care and management. Outside of work, Lane enjoys traveling, hiking, being outdoors and horseback riding. Lane believes in an individualized approach to veterinary care, to meet each animal’s unique needs. Her approach involves strong communication and follow up to build a foundation of trust and collaboration with pets and owners in order to make the best medical decisions for our furry family members.
