Dr. Jiaming Huang (he/him), DVM

Dr. Jiaming Huang grew up in Boston and developed an interest in veterinary medicine after becoming engrossed in James Herriot's novels during middle school. He began volunteering at the MSPCA-Angell in Jamaica Plain and gained rewarding experiences caring for injured wildlife at the New England Wildlife Center and the Tufts Wildlife Center. Dr. Huang earned his degree in Animal Science from Cornell University and his doctorate from Tufts University.

After completing his education, Dr. Huang continued his training at a general practice in Boston for three years. During this time, he remained actively involved in shelter medicine and wildlife triage. He also formed close connections with specialists in the area, developing specific interests in low-stress handling, clinical pathology, and veterinary ophthalmology.

Dr. Huang is enthusiastic about continuing to practice around his hometown, where he hopes to learn more about and serve the human-animal bond between owners and their pets. In his spare time, he enjoys critiquing restaurants, swimming laps, tinkering with computers, and planning his next adventure at 30,000 feet.

Special Interests: Internal medicine, clinical nutrition, clinical pathology, ophthalmology, low-stress handling techniques
