Dr. Catherine Stevenson (she/her), VMD, USDA Accredited

A native of a small town just outside Boston, Dr. Catherine Stevenson discovered her passion for veterinary medicine in high school, drawn to the intersection of science and hands-on clinical care. She gained early experience in the field as a kennel attendant before moving into clinical roles, solidifying her commitment to veterinary medicine.

Catherine attended Boston University as a pre-veterinary student, culminating her undergraduate studies with a focus on tropical ecology in Ecuador. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. During her time at PennVet, she worked with a nonprofit organization providing free veterinary care in the Galápagos Islands and developed a strong foundation in internal medicine, dentistry, and dermatology. She further honed her skills through a rotating internship at San Francisco Veterinary Specialists, where she gained valuable experience managing complex medical cases.

Since 2015, Catherine has been practicing in New York, where she has worked with multiple hospitals, broadening her perspective on collaborative veterinary care. She is passionate about general practice, preventative medicine, and feline medicine, with particular interests in dermatology and dentistry.

Outside of work, Catherine enjoys distance running, writing, painting, and traveling. She lives in New York with her husband, George, and their two cats, Mina and Michu.
