Dr. Beth Waisburd (she/her), DVM

Dr. Beth Waisburd attended Cornell University for both her undergraduate and graduate studies, gaining a BS in Animal Science, as well as her veterinary doctorate. After graduating, she completed a rotating internship in surgery and medicine at Purdue University, and went on to practice at a variety of animal hospitals in New Jersey, Texas and Illinois before moving to Boston in 2008.

With over twenty five years of experience, Beth still welcomes the opportunity to expand her knowledge and learn new techniques. She has advanced training in ultrasound and dentistry, and received her certification in veterinary acupuncture in 2014. Beth is passionate about creating ‘multi-modal’ approaches to chronic pain and anxiety, which combine several different therapies and lifestyle changes. She is a Fear Free certified practitioner and incorporates low stress handling techniques with all of her patients.

Beth takes a special interest in internal medicine, soft tissue surgery and preventive medicine. Above all else, it is the relationship with her clients and patients that fuels Beth’s passion to practice. She prides herself on thorough communication and strives to create medical plans that allow for the best possible care for her patients.

In her free time, you can find Beth practicing yoga, ballet and horseback riding. She also enjoys trying new flavors of ice cream and spending time with the men in her life – her husband, her two teenage boys, her crazy dog George and her 26-toed cat Edward.

Special Interests: Internal medicine, preventive medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, anxiety and pain management, and low stress handling techniques.
