Dr. Ashly Smith (she/her), DVM

Dr. Ashly was born in the picturesque state of Colorado, where she spent her early years. However, the majority of her life has been in the suburbs of Virginia, outside of Washington DC. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Virginia Tech, laying the foundation for her future endeavors. Driven by a passion for animals and science, Ashly pursued her veterinary medicine degree at Ross University in the West Indies and completed her clinical year at University of Minnesota.


With a strong background in general practice, she has a genuine love for preventative care, soft tissue surgery, dentistry and internal medicine. She thrives on creating long-lasting relationships with both the members and their beloved pets. Throughout the course of her career, Ashly has dedicated the majority of her time to leadership roles. Her passion lies in the development of people and teams. Whether empowering them through the intricacies of veterinary medicine, instilling a sense of ownership in their practice, or honing their interpersonal skills, Ashly is a mentor who believes in the holistic growth of those she works with.


When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, four human children, mixed breed dog (Tootsie Roll) and two feisty cats (Mister Grey & Pumpkin Pie). You can also find her taking Orange Theory classes, binging crime documentaries/podcasts and trying new restaurants!
