Overview
All of our content goes through a rigorous fact-checking process to ensure accuracy.
The references used to help produce our content are all high-quality websites and peer-reviewed journals.
All content passes through several editors in the editorial process to ensure the highest quality of content possible before being published.
Editorial Process
Our editorial team works hard to produce content that pet parents will find helpful and informative. The ideas for our content are broken down into two types of topics: medical topics and lifestyle topics.
Our medical topics include information on specific medical conditions in either cats or dogs, such as What To Do If Your Pet Is Bleeding, Carsickness and Motion Sickness in Dogs, and Hypercalcemia in Cats.
Our lifestyle topics include covering anything from behavioral or training tips to wellness advice, such as Destructive Behavior in Dogs, How to Stop Cats Scratching Furniture, and Preparing Your Pet for a Vet Visit.
Once a specific topic is chosen, the assignment is given to a skilled writer. Our writers include veterinary technicians and experts in the fields of pet health and veterinary care. The writer will research the topic using high-quality sources and peer-reviewed journals and then write their story.
After the story is completed and submitted to our editorial team, it’s fact-checked and edited to ensure accuracy and readability. Then it’s passed on to another editor for final review before being published. After being published, ideas that prove to be untrue are revised or removed from our site immediately once we become aware.
